Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a commodity from illegally being bought from an automatic vending machine without placing any economical load (the charge for communication with the managing company of the automatic vending machine) on a user. SOLUTION: The user who buys a commodity from the automatic vending machine 100 inputs a specific numeral, e.g. a password code with the number buttons of his or her PHS 101. The manually inputted password code is transmitted to the automatic vending machine 100 together with a password code previously stored in the PHS 101 and the automatic vending machine 1009 having received them vend the commodity when both match each other (authentication of the user). Further, the PHS 101 itself performs specific operation as to, for example, its local number and the automatic vending machine 100 checks the number and operation result and vends the commodity when the operation result of the PHS 101 is correct, i.e., when the PHS 101 has a specific arithmetic function (authentication of the telephone set).
