Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering heater capable of controlling a temperature without flowing an overcurrent in a steering wheel. SOLUTION: This steering heater 1 is characterized by including a heater 2 arranged in the steering wheel, a heating switching element 4 arranged in a steering column, switching a driving current for driving the heater 2, and causing heating, a temperature sensing element 5 changing in a characteristic by sensing a temperature of this heating switching element 4, a control part 8 for calculating electric power consumption required for raising a temperature up to a preset temperature by detecting an initial temperature of the steering wheel on the basis of end-to-end voltage of the temperature sensing element 5, and outputting a control signal only for a heating time determined on the basis of this electric power consumption, and a driving part 9 for outputting a driving signal for driving the heating switching element 4 on the basis of the control signal. |
