Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply and effectively control an SI apparatus used at the time of production of a polyester film by restricting input data to properly perform the processing thereof. SOLUTION: In the control method for the SI apparatus used when the polyester film is manufactured by discharging a polyester in a molten state from an extruder to cool and solidify the formed film on a casting drum, the polymer amount discharged from the extruder and the number of rotations of the casting drum are inputted to be operated by a neutral network to control the width of an electrode.
