Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an adsorption apparatus in which the degree of the degradation of an adsorbing agent is precisely grasped. SOLUTION: An electrochemical element 15 composed of a detection electrode to be brought into contact with a gas 5A to be adsorbed, a counter electrode 15C covered with a cover 15D to interrupt the contact with the gas 5A to be adsorbed and a solid electrolyte 15A closely held between both electrodes 15A and 15C and reacting with the gas to be adsorbed is arranged inside an adsorbing agent filling case 12 in which the adsorbing agent is filled, the value of current produced between both electrode 15B and 15C of the electrochemical element 15 in accordance with the concentration of the gas 5A to be adsorbed when DC voltage is applied to both electrodes 15B and 15C, is outputted to the outside of a tightly closed vessel 4 and the degree of the degradation of the adsorbing agent 14 is judged by the current value or the concentration of the gas 5A to be adsorbed, which is expressed in terms of the current value.
