Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for refining easily a refining gas containing hydrogen without reducing efficiency of refining hydrogen and to provide its apparatus. SOLUTION: In the method for separating and refining hydrogen from a source gas containing hydrogen which is by-produced from a chemical conversion facility of ironworks or the like, and in an adsorption and desorption treatment process of impurities contained in the source gas, a hydrogen gas is separated and refined from the source gas by alternately using a plurality of heat exchangers, when cooling a treated source gas. And water or steam is fed from the inlet to cleans up each exchanger or in addition to this a supply of an agent for decomposing impurities is preferable.
