PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermotherapeutic apparatus which can restore the vital power of living bodies by a method wherein the temperature of a heater is controlled to be raised, lowered or maintained along a temperature changing curve of body heat paying attention to the biological rhythm pertaining to the body heat during the sleep for providing comfortable sleep that leads to the easing of the symptom of insomnia or the like or secondary symptom associated with the insomnia or the like and the relaxation of symptoms such as the thirst of throats as caused by the use of thermal devices and moreover, making the sleeping environments comfortable comprehensively for securing sound sleep while creating healthy bodies during the sleep. SOLUTION: The thermotherapeutic apparatus comprises a timer setting means for setting heating time, a heater for heating living bodies, a temperature control means which performs a control to raise, lower or maintain the temperature of the heater to match the biological rhythm during the time set by the timer setting means. Moreover, heater units are provided respectively on the sides of the upper and lower half bodies to control the balance thereof for giving temperature differences thereto.
