Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a skin care preparation which is more effective than conventional preparations and can improve dandruff and itches. SOLUTION: This skin care preparation for the hair or the scalp contains (1) piroctone olamine and/or its salt and vitamin E and/or its derivative. The vitamin E and/or its derivative are preferably α-, β-, γ-, or δ-tocopherol, their fatty acid esters or nicotinic acid esters. The preparation further contains terpene, preferably monoterpene, or more preferably, contains 1-menthol. The skin care preparation has an ameliorating effect on dandruff and itches.
