Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid a submarine phenomenon of an occupant wearing a seat belt, and secure ride comfort without causing a sense of incongruity to the occupant. SOLUTION: The vehicle seat is provided with right and left bell cranks 19 and 19, a slide preventing bar 22, a power generator 23, a lock mechanism 26, a controller 27, an impact sensor 28 and a bar support 29 or the like. In a collision, the power generator 23 is instantaneously operated by the controller 27, the slide preventing bar 22 is moved from a forward tilted position to lifted position by the power generator 23 via the right and left bell cranks 19 and 19, and the slide preventing bar 22 partially pushes up a seat cushion pad 17 and facing 18 in a seat face 14 in a front side of a seat cushion 11. In an ordinary state, the slide preventing bar 22 provides a face contacting sensation to the occupant by the bar support 29.
