Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operational amplifier with a simple circuit configuration that limits an output voltage to be a prescribed amplitude or below. SOLUTION: The operational amplifier that is operated with supply of power from power supplies with prescribed power supply voltages VCC, VEE and amplifies an input voltage into a prescribed output voltage VOUT and providing an output, is provided with a PNP transistor Q31 whose base receives a reference voltage VREF at a prescribed level via a TR Q41, whose emitter to which a voltage VA corresponding to the output voltage VOUT is applied, where a current flows from the emitter to the base when the level of the emitter exceeds the level of the base. |
