Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a fetal accident, e.g. smoking or firing of a food due to overheat, even if a too long heating time of the food is set erroneously by manual operation. SOLUTION: The high frequency heater comprises a heating chamber 2 for containing a food 1, a pan 3 for placing the food 1, a weight sensor 4 disposed on the outside of the bottom part of the heating chamber 2 while being interlocked with the placing pan 3 and detecting the weight of the food 1, a magnetron 6 generating a high frequency wave, and a section 7 for controlling the magnetron 6, and the like, based on information from the weight sensor 4 wherein the control section 7 is preset with a reference weight W and a reference heating time T of the food 1. A user places a food 1 on the placing pan 3 and inputs a heating time Ta of the food 1. The food 1 is heated for a predetermined time when T<Ta and W>Wa, where Wa is the weight of the food 1 detected by the weight sensor 4 immediately after starting heating of the food 1. |
