Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an imaging system using a charge emitting print head in which variation in the charges of dot, caused by the order of imparting charges, is prevented from being arranged between the lines to cause banding. SOLUTION: The print head has redundant drive electrodes RF#5 and RF#6. The redundant electrodes RF#5 and RF#6 form charge adhesion patterns similar to those of main drive electrodes RF#0 and RF#1. The order of imparting charges to dots can be altered by imparting charges while substituting a redundancy electrode for one or both of the main electrodes RF#0 and RF#1. When the order of imparting charges is altered line by line, variation of dots is prevented from being arranged between the lines thus preventing banding.
