Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a jig saw wherein cutting of a curved state can be smoothly carried out while a work does not come in contact with an arcuate frame and safety in nonoperation can be raised. SOLUTION: A free end part of a jig saw blade 2 is provided by being protruded from an almost horizontal table surface 32 for moving a work W via a jig saw blade projecting opening 31 formed at a table 3. Further, a base part of the jig saw blade 2 is connected to a drive unit 66 and almost vertically reciprocated under a state wherein a free end part is projected from the table surface 32 to cut the work W supplied toward the jig saw blade 2 on the table surface 32. Furthermore a cover component 9 covering environment of the jig saw blade 2 is provided near the jig saw blade 2 in non-working time.
