Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cover for reducing noise which can suppress the aerodynamic noise occurring from a current collector without affecting the current collecting performance. SOLUTION: An air current A flowing along the topside of the roof of the car body is divided at the tip of a plate member 5 into an air current B to flow above the topside 5a, and an air current C to flow in the direction of the roof 10 of the car body. Since the topside 5a is parallel with the roof face of the car body, the sectional area of the passage does not become small, so the air current B flowing on the topside does not increase its flow velocity. Then, a part of the air current flowing along the topside 5a is discharged rearward from the mesh structure of the inwall 5b, passing through the mesh of the topside 5a. If the topside is plate-shaped, a vortex separated from the air current at the end hits upon the current collector 2, which causes the occurrence of noise. According to this cover 1, however, an air current having passed the mesh structure reaches a section where such a vertex arises, so this can suppress the occurrence of a vortex, and can reduce the noise.
