Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive fluid bearing device with highly reliable operation and high load-carrying ability to a moment load during fluctuation or the like even with limited height dimension. SOLUTION: The fluid bearing device is provided with a shaft 13 having a thrust plate 15 in one end and a sleeve 12 facing the shaft 13 via a bearing clearance of a radial fluid bearing R, and a thrust radial bearing S is provided between both planes 15s and 15s of the thrust plate 15 and the sleeve 12 facing them. The shaft 13 is hollow, and the thrust plate 15 is guided coaxially to the shaft 13 by a protrusive or recessed joint 30 provided in the one end of the shaft 13 and it is fixed by screwing to a screw hole 13c passing through the shaft 13.
