PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new herbal cosmetic composition which has cosmetic uses such as lip sticks, eye shadows, glow-glitters and cheek rouges, are safe and eco-friendly, protects health, and enhances beauty, and especially contains a pigment originated from a plant in the family Boraginaceae or the like, to provide a method for preparing the composition, and to provide a method for using a lip stick as a means for aroma therapy. SOLUTION: This cosmetic composition contains one or more herbal additives selected from essential oils/isolated aromas obtained from the group of plant species belonging to the genuses Aquillaria, Cinnamomum, Cymbopogon, Elettaria, Eucalyptus, Geranium, Jasminum, Ocimum, Pelargonium, Rosa, Rosmarinus, Santalum, and Vetiveria, and one or more herbal pigments obtained by plants belonging to the genuses rnebia, Bixa, Butea, Carthamus, Hibiscus, Jatropha, Lithospermum, Macrotomia, Maharanga, Nyctanthes, Onosma, Rhododendron, and Tagetes.
