Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connecting support tool and pipe connecting method using the tool, in which an axis of one pipe is surely fit and connected to an axis of the other pipe in one operation thereby to reduce damage of pipe end faces during execution, when approximately horizontal conduits are laid, particularly when conduits of large diameter and approximately horizontal are laid by submarine piping or submerged method, even in a case where a buried conduit is laid in a method that a worker can not visually check a connecting portion and it is difficult to correct displacement of axes of pipes. SOLUTION: In the connecting support tool: an outer periphery of a doughnut disc having the same shape as a section of an end portion of a faucet of a pipe is connected to an end of a short pipe having an approximately large inner diameter equal to the outer diameter of the faucet to form a mounting portion; an inner periphery of the doughnut disc is connected to a guide portion, of which inner diameter becomes gradually large, in a direction opposite to the short pipe; and the whole connecting support tool is cut out along an axial direction and the connecting support tool is not more than the half-cut size.
