Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic washing machine for automatically deciding the quantity and mixing degree of textiles. SOLUTION: A motor is operated with fixed torque and time required for accelerating the load of a container and textiles from a certain speed to a higher speed is measured. This measurement can be repeated by using different torque entries. From the measured value of this time, the scale of textile load is calculated according to the inertia of a device. The mixing degree of textiles in the load is calculated by using the scale of the load. Water is added to the container separately for each scheduled increment, the container is oscillated just for the scheduled number of processes and each time water is added, required torque is measured later. Since the torque is changed together with the scale of the load and the percentage of cottons in the load, the mixing degree of textiles is calculated by using this required torque.
