Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diagnosis device for a vertical pump capable of quantitatively and accurately estimating the wear of a bearing, without having to bore a hole. SOLUTION: This device is installed on either a lifting pipe 3 or a casing of the vertical pump 1 and is provided with an ultrasonic wave vibration meter 16 measuring vibration of the rotary shaft 7, at a position remote from a bearing part 9 bearing the rotation shaft 7 of the vertical pump 1, a shaft vibration calculation means 18 for calculating shaft vibration value at the bearing part 9, based on the measured vibration of the shaft, and a wear estimation means 18 estimating wear of the bearing part 9, based on the calculated shaft vibration value.
