Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for an extra fine carbon fiber felt, with which a carbon fiber felt is simply and efficiently produced even in an extra fine carbon fiber. SOLUTION: As an extra fine carbon fiber assembly having 0.3-10 μm average fiber diameter is opened, supplied to a fiber collection part 3 and a binder resin solution is sprayed on the fiber collection part 3 by a spraying machine 7, the carbon fiber is piled in a cottony state, formed by heating to produce an extra fine carbon fiber belt. The ratio of the extra fine carbon fiber to the binder resin is about 0.1-20 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. of the extra fine carbon fiber. The extra fine carbon fiber may be a carbon fiber obtained from an anisotropic pitch. |
