Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new pest-repellent skin care preparation having no side effect even if applied to the skin and having repelling effect on insect pests impairing human health and/or giving unpleasant feeling including sense of uncleanliness and aversive feeling such as cockroach and mite. SOLUTION: This pest-repellent skin care preparation contains, as the active ingredients, a total 0.01-20 wt.%, on a dry plant basis, of two kinds of water extract ingredients respectively derived from mugwort and Houttuynia cordata in the weight ratio of (20:80) to (80:20) based on dry plants, and optionally contains 0.005-10 wt.% of at least one kind of water extract ingredient derived from plant(s) selected from Panax ginseng, Japanese pepper leaves and loquat leaves.
