Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a theft-proof device for a vehicle at a low price. SOLUTION: This theft-proof device is provided with a CD player 20 and detecting circuits 62F, 62T for detecting voltage generated in a focus coil 21F and a tracking coil 21T of an optical pickup 21 of the CD player 20. The device is provided with an audio amplifier 31, speakers 32L, 32R to the output of the audio amplifier 31 is supplied, and a control circuit 41 for controlling the gain of the audio amplifier 31 according to the detection outputs of the detecting circuits 62F, 62T. The control circuit 41 controls the gain of the audio amplifier 31 to a designated value to output warning sound from the speakers 32L, 32R when the detecting circuits 62F, 62T detect generation of voltage in at least one of the focus coil 1F and the tracking coil 21T.
