Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operating efficiency by prolonging life of blades and lowering exchanging frequency. SOLUTION: A first stage blade 10a and a second stage blade 10b are fixed at a required distance in the rotational direction of a backing roll 1 on a pressing frame 7 which can approach and be separated to a base paper 2 hung on a backing roll 1. A profile adjusting mechanism 14 is arranged on the back face side of the second stage blade 10b. A pre-metering in which scraping-off of a coating liquid 4 is a main purpose is performed by means of the first stage blade 10a, and a finish metering by profile adjustment in the width direction in which importance is emphasized to smoothing of a film 4a of the coating liquid is performed by means of the second stage blade 10b.
