PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water quality classifying apparatus for automatically measuring heterotrophic bacteria XH, a hydrolysis organic matter Xs, and a fermentation product SA + an easily decomposable organic matter SF. SOLUTION: The water quality classifying apparatus a sampling section 1 for sampling inflow water 8 and sludge 9, a solution generation section 3 for preparing supersaturation water and ATU, and a reaction section 2 for fixing the inflow water, sludge, supersaturation water, the ATU, and also, is provided with a constant temperature bath 5 for constantly keeping the sampling section 1, the solution generation section 3, and the reaction section 2 at an arbitrary temperature, a measurement means 4 for measuring the concentration of dissolved oxygen in the reaction section 2, an information processing section 6 for executing a measurement sequence, and a washing means 7 for washing the reaction section 2.
