Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel having a protective film for electrodes, which improves secondary electron emission characteristics. SOLUTION: This plasma display panel has a front plate on which display electrodes are wired and a rear plate on which address electrodes are wired, and displays images by discharging in a small discharge space formed in the gap between the front panel and the rear panel. Here the front plate has a protective film composed of metal oxides for covering a dielectric layer formed on itself, and the protective film is composed of a material which produces the major desorption of absorbed moisture and carbon dioxide on the film at a temperature of not more than 350 deg.C. |
