Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plant for converting wastes into solid fuel, enabling automatic operation through eliminating manual operation according to the reserves of a weight counting feeder. SOLUTION: This plant includes a receiving conveyor 2 for receiving and conveying several kinds of wastes, a crusher 3 for crushing the thus conveyed wastes, quantitatively feeding machines 5 allowing for reserving each kind of wastes discharged from the crusher 3 and quantitatively feeding the wastes, a crushed product conveyor 4 for conveying wastes discharged from the crusher 3 to the corresponding quantitatively feeding machines 5, a mixer 6 for mixing together the wastes fed from the quantitatively feeding machines 5 and conveying the resultant mixture, a volume-reducing solidifier 7 for reducing the volume of the thus mixed and conveyed wastes and solidifying them and producing the objective solid fuel, sensors 11 for detecting the respective reserves of the corresponding quantitatively feeding machines 5, and a control unit 10 functioning to automatically control the respective actions of the receiving conveyor 2, the crusher 3 and the crushed product conveyor 4 according to the detection results.
