Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a glass panel capable of improving manufacturing efficiency. SOLUTION: This method for manufacturing the glass panel is that a spacer is interleaved between a pair of lass plates, the outer peripheries of which are sealed while forming an air-gap inbetween, on either glass plate of the pair of the glass plates, a through hole and a glass tube for evacuation are provided, and the glass tube is fitted to the through hole to evacuate the air gap via the evacuation glass tube, thereby the glass tube is bonded around its bottom with the glass plate by using a bonding material having a lower melting point than the glass tube, which bonding material is locally heated to a high temperature.
