Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope unit for rapidly executing an action for normally lighting a lamp by noting a cause of turning off the lamp or a decrease in a light amount to a user. SOLUTION: This endoscope unit comprises the lamp 22 for irradiating an illumination light for illuminating a subject, and a power supply means 24 for supplying a power for lighting the lamp. Further, the endoscope unit comprises a condition detecting means disposed at the lamp 22 or near the lamp 22 to detect predetermined conditions regarding the lamp, and a noting means for noting the state of the lamp to an operator based on the detected result of the detecting means. The detecting means is a temperature detecting means for detecting whether or not the temperature of the lamp 22 or near the lamp 22 is a predetermined temperature or higher, or a power detecting means 51 for detecting whether or not a current or a voltage to be supplied from the power supply means to the lamp is below a predetermined current value or below a predetermined voltage value. |
