Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller of a capacitor motor which can apply a voltage to the capacitor motor by an application method, wherein the capacitor motor has automatically optimum output characteristics according to a drive speed when an external signal commanding a speed for driving a load is received. SOLUTION: When a control unit 61 receives an external signal commanding a capacitor motor 4 to drive a load 5 at a prescribed speed from an upper hierarchy control unit 3, the control unit 61 selects a prescribed voltage application method according to the relation between a speed determined for each driven load 5 and a voltage application method which optimizes the output characteristics of the capacitor motor 4, and, at the same time, determines a prescribed output voltage according to the relation between the speed, determined according to the relation between the load 5 and the voltage application method, and an output voltage of a voltage regulation unit 22. The control unit 61 transmits a switching signal to the voltage adjustment unit 22 to output the prescribed voltage and transmits a selection signal to a selection unit 62 to select the prescribed voltage application method. An output voltage of an AC power supply 1 and the output voltage adjusted by the voltage adjustment unit 22 are applied to the capacitor motor 4 by the prescribed voltage application method.
