Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optimum, high-quality image from a server to a client. SOLUTION: The input of information on the printing environment of a printer at a client side is accepted (step S3001). The list of images is transmitted to the client and the selection of images is accepted (step S3002). A color patch printed by the printer at the client side is read by a scanner (step S3005). A profile peculiar to the client is created based on the information on printing environment that is received from the client and the color patch that is read by the scanner (step S3006). The selected image data are corrected based on the profile (step S3007).
