Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily apply to a diagnostic object different in a kind of a shape, a material characteristic or the like. SOLUTION: This diagnostic device is provided with a striking hammer 3 for hammering a tunnel wall face 2, a micro-phone 6 for collecting a hammering sound in the tunnel wall face 2, a gate circuit 10 for removing prescribed sound pressure from sound pressure of the collected hammering sound, and a judging circuit 13 for diagnosing a defect based on the hammering sound from which the prescribed sound pressure is removed. The gate circuit 10 is constituted to set the prescribed sound pressure. The defect diagnostic device is easily applicable to the tunnel wall face 2 different in its kind by hammering sound one same to the diagnostic tunnel wall face 2 in its kind.
