Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bookbinding apparatus for folding and binding one printed matter of front and rear 4-page feeding sent from an image forming unit from its center. SOLUTION: The bookbinding apparatus folds and binds the printed matter of the front and rear 4 pages of sheets sent from a printer from its center, matches and binds the sheets of the 4 pages and discharges a book of the sheet bundle out of the printer. The apparatus does not bend the printed matter of a half (folding size) size of the folded sheet but receives the printed matter freely of the front and the rear of the sheets and binds the sheets.
