Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an in-pipe cleaning method which is capable of cleaning the inside of a pipe without the occurrence of thickness reduction and without inducing environment pollution even in post treatment. SOLUTION: The in-pipe cleaning method for an existing pipeline using relatively soft material consists in using sodium bicarbonate of a specific grain size as a blasting agent, conveying the sodium bicarbonate by the air flow generated by the prescribed pressure difference induced in the pipe and bringing the sodium bicarbonate under the conveyance at a high speed into contact with deposits, thereby rubbing off the deposits and removing the deposits.
