Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cellular phone charger having data storage functions for charging the battery of a cellular phone, which is always required to use the cellular phone, while the data such as a telephone directory is easily backed up for retrieval and for preventing data loss. SOLUTION: The charger comprises, in a charger body, a charging section for supplying constant DC power to a battery for recharging the cellular phone 10 from a commercial power supply, a connection connector 3 that is within the cellular phone 10 and can be fitted to a power supply terminal and a terminal for inputting/outputting data, a control operation unit CTU for receiving data being stored in the cellular phone 10 as a down serial signal for storing into a flash memory M0, and then returning the data to the cellular phone 10 as an up serial signal from there, a switch 2 that is connected to the control operation unit CTU for downloading the data, and a switch 7 that is connected to the control operation unit CTU for uploading the data.
