Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tray for housing an optical fiber extra length with which an occupancy area can be reduced. SOLUTION: An nearly square-shaped tray plate 36 is provided with a cable clamp 38 to hold a cable housing a coated optical fiber, a tension member clamp 40 to hold the tension member of the cable, an extra length loop holding part 45 to hold the extra length part of the coated optical fiber connected with the cable in the shape of a loop, a ferrule aligning guide 46 which aligns and connects connector ferrule parts of each tip part of the coated optical fiber and the coated optical fiber connected to the former while aligning, and an opening 52 where the coated optical fiber moves in and out. The cable clamp 38 and the tension member clamp 40 are supported by the tray plate 36 across the opening 52.
