Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving mechanism capable of actuating an article holding part at an arbitrary processing position in a different manner from the other processing position in an article feeder for operating a plurality of article holding parts for holding an article to be fed and moving it between the step positions by one mechanism. SOLUTION: This article holding part driving mechanism comprises an elevating panel 3D which is engaged with a cam follower 4G of the article holder 4 to guide the movement of the cam follower 4G between the processing positions, and elevated/lowered between the position at which a nozzle shaft 4B is held at the elevated position and the position at which the nozzle shaft is held at the lowered position; an elevating mechanism 3F for elevating/ lowering the elevating panel 3D; and a supporting plate 3E fixed to the position facing the elevating panel 3D. The mechanism constitutes a guide surface which is fitted in a notched part 3Da of the elevating panel 3D at the elevated position of the supporting plate 3E to guide the cam follower 4G.
