Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel plate material for a positive electrode can which can improve battery characteristics of an alkaline manganese battery. SOLUTION: A plated steel plate for a positive electrode can of an alkaline manganese battery has an Fe-Ni diffusion plate layer on the surface of an inner face of the can, of which, Fe exposure rate of the outermost surface is to be 10% or more, and preferably, 30% or more. Further, the outer surface of the can is to be provided, preferably, with a Fe-Ni diffusion plated layer and a recrystallized and softened Ni plated layer over it. |
