Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color image forming method which ensures satisfactory fixability even when a carrier having high releasing property, e.g. silicone oil is used and can impart a gloss hard to control so far on a high level. SOLUTION: A transparent toner and yellow, cyan and magenta toners are successively transferred in piles to the top of a transfer belt 6 from the belt surface side. When a toner image on the transfer belt 6 is brought into pressure contact with paper P in an electric field and transferred to the paper P, a layer of the transparent toner as the lowest layer on the transfer belt 6 becomes the uppermost layer on the paper P. The transparent toner has a relatively large particle diameter, is formed into a film and coats the color toners to improve fixability. When a UV curing resin is used as a carrier and cured by irradiation with UV using a UV fixing unit 8a, the carrier itself is formed into a film to form an image having surface glossiness as well as very good fixability. |
