SOLUTION: The detergent composition comprises an imidazolidinone (A) of formula 1 and a nonionic surface active agent (B) such as a polyoxyalkylene alkyl ether as effective components. The components A and B are respectively blended generally in an amount of 0.1-97 wt.%. The composition preferably further comprises a surface active agent (C) such as a polyoxyalkylene phosphoric ester and a surface active agent (D) of a polyoxyalkylene amine series.
