Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pacing catheter, the distal end of which can easily be brought to a prescribed site in the heart, and that is operable and easy to manufacture. SOLUTION: The pacing catheter has a catheter body 4, a first electrode 12 attached to the distal end of the catheter body 4, a second electrode 14 attached to the distal end of the catheter body apart from the first electrode 12, a metal core 20 mounted in the catheter body 4 so as to locate the tip in a position spaced by a prescribed distance L1 from the distal end of the catheter body 4, a first lead wire 16 and a second lead wire 18 arranged longitudinally in the catheter body 4 and intended for supplying voltage to the first electrode 12 and the second electrode 14.
