Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress generation of an umbra in the vicinities of both ends on the side surface of a light guide body making light emitted from a discharge tube incident from the side surface and emitting light from the top surface. SOLUTION: Curved grooves 7 proceeding from both ends of the side surface to the inside of the light guide body are installed on the whole bottom surface of the light guide body 2 in which light emitted from a straight tube-shaped discharge tube 1 formed by sealing a pair of main electrodes 1a, 1a at both ends of glass bulb into which rare gas is sealed at the specified pressure is made incident and emitted from the top surface, and the distance between the grooves is gradually narrowed further a part from the tube.
