Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact zoom lens suitable for a mobile camera or the like. SOLUTION: This zoom lens is equipped with a 1st lens 1 having negative refractive power and a 2nd lens having positive refractive power in order from an object side to an image surface side. The 1st lens 1 whose surface on the object side is concave and aspherical has the negative refractive power and the 2nd lens 2 whose both surfaces on the object side and the image surface side are convex and aspherical has the positive refractive power. The 1st lens 1 and the 2nd lens 2 are formed of the one and same material and constituted to satisfy (1) 1.70<|f1/f2|<2.0 and (2) νd>35. Provided that f1 and f2 are the focal distances of the 1st and the 2nd lenses 1 and 2, νd is the Abbe number of the lens. Thus, the compact zoom lens whose variable power ratio is about 2 and where aberration is compensated is obtained. |
