Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ambulatory cultivator capable of preventing occurrence of dashing phenomenon by making grasses, wastes and the like hard to be hooked on a resisting plate. SOLUTION: This ambulatory cultivator K1 comprises a tractor 1 and a rotary cultivating device 2. The rotary cultivating device 2 has a chain case 23 and a rotor 24 under the case. The rotor 24 has a rotating shaft 240 and cultivating claws 241. Below the chain case 23, a resisting plate 26 is set in front of the rotating shaft 240. The resisting plate 26 is almost of triangle shape and has about 40 deg. lower side angle. The lower side of the resisting plate 26 is projected outside the rotation locus of the rotating claws 241. The two angle-forming sides of the resisting plate 26 are guiding parts 260a and 260b guiding soil of the ground and foreign matter. The serving side of the guiding parts 260a and 260b is changed by the running direction of the resisting plate. In fig. 1, the guiding part 260a is served.
