Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine control device for vehicles, which can prevent an engine from being controlled remotely even though the engine is in a state requiring no remote control. SOLUTION: A micro computer 35, when receiving the starter signal from a remote controller 11 through a first receiving circuit 32, outputs a request signal from a transmission circuit 34. When the computer 35, when receiving an ID code signal from an ignition key 21, compares the ID code signal from the ignition key 21 with its own ID code signal. When the two signals coincide with each other, the micro computer 35 prohibit the output of a control signal to an engine starting device 43. That is, if the ignition key 21 remain in a vehicle 2, the micro computer 35 prevent the engine from starting or stopping automatically even if the computer 35 have received a starter signal. |
