Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of the conventional video camera of a user unable to recognize the actual size of an object, because none of the conventional video cameras has had a provision of displaying a scale that is a standard, to recognize the size of the object. SOLUTION: The video camera of this invention consists of a character signal generating section, an automatic focus lens, a CCD sensor, a signal processing section, an adder circuit section that adds a character signal to a video signal, and a microcomputer that controls the character signal generating section. By displaying a scale, in matching with the size of the object on the basis of distance information up to the object, an imaging area by a solid- state imaging element and a focal distance of a lens, the user can recognize the size of the object. |
