Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information access support system capable of narrowing down more useful information and data from useful homepage and data to retrieve/acquire the more useful information and data. SOLUTION: When a client 20 retrieves the homepage of a Web server 10 according to a user instruction and the user designates a useful part (selected data) in the homepage displayed a the display 21, the selected data and a corresponding address are stored as a pair in the client 20. Thus, the user displays a list of the selected data stored in the client 20 on the display 21 and can compare and examine the selected data. The source homepage can be redisplayed by designating one piece of selected data in the list of the selected data displayed on the display 21, and more detailed information, etc., can be retrieved from the source homepage. As a result, it is possible to easily acquire useful information.
