Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire having improved handling and perfor mance, having higher load holding capacity, and having interchangeability with the conventional wheel rim available on the market. SOLUTION: This pneumatic tire 746 has a tread area 712, two bead areas 750a and 750b, a carcass structure 728 extending by penetrating through sidewalls 726a and 726b between the bead areas 750a and 750b and the tread area 712, and having at least one elastomer ply 730 reinforced by a cord, and a belt structure 718 between the tread areas 750a and 750b and the carcass structure 728. The tire 746 has the bead areas 750a and 750b including a triangular bead so that the bead areas firmly fix the tire by the rim by a ply line PL"' during a high stress state.
