Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shoulder supporter that corrects a posture, and helps autonomous recovery from an incorrect posture by activating movements of the scapulas. SOLUTION: The shoulder supporter 1 is comprised of a pair of forearm belts 2 and 3 wrapped around the right and left forearms, and an expandable shoulder belt 4 connecting them. By regulating the length of the shoulder belt 4, a tensile force imposed on the forearm belts 2 and 3 can be regulated. A tensile force of the shoulder belt 4 pulls up the scapula of a person with a lowering shoulder (left shoulder) and pulls inwardly, thereby correcting the incorrect posture. As the tensile force of the shoulder belt 4 assists the swing of the arms (especially forward swing of the left arm and rearward swing of the right arm), wearing of the supporter activates movements of the scapulas and helps autonomous recovery from an incorrect posture. |
