Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a TEE probe to cope with conventional problems and limits in relation to rotation of a transducer by using a mechanical link mechanism to provide a multiple surface ultrasonic scan of internal organs. SOLUTION: The trans-oesophagus ultrasonic probe 5 free to rotate a scanning surface includes an endoscope 10 to the distal end of which a probe head 20 is connected. The transducer 30 is fixed on this probe head 20. A transmission mechanism 50 is connected to this transducer 30. A motor 40 is connected to the transmission mechanism 50 at a position of the distal end of the endoscope 10. Finally, an electric wire 60 is connected to the motor 40. The trans- oesophagus ultrasonic probe 5 uses the motor 40 at the head end of the trans- oesophagus ultrasonic probe 5 to rotate the scanning surface.
