Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for estimating the SOX removal efficiency of a pressurized fluidized bed incinerator which can supply an appropriate amount of desulfurization agent, can effectively suppress the occurrence of SOX in its waste gas, is excellent in workability and the operation of which can be controlled precisely in an extremely easy way and a desulfurization method used for the incinerator by which the occurrence of SOX in the waste gas can be suppressed effectively and, the recyclability of the desulfurization agent is improved. SOLUTION: The method for estimating the SOX removal efficiency of the pressurized fluidized bed incinerator is constituted to find the unreaction ratio of SOX removal of the incinerator by calculation from the external surface-area feed rate SD of the desulfurization agent existing in a fluidized bed and the external surface-area feed rate SF of the desulfurization agent flying out of the fluidized bed to a freeboard.
