Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide fluid ejection system and method having improved performance characteristics. SOLUTION: A fluid ejector 100 comprises a movable piston constitution 110 and a stationary face plate 130. A small fluid chamber 120 is formed between the piston constitution 110 and a substrate 150. The piston constitution 110 is fixed resiliently to the substrate 150 by means of one or more spring component 114. Ejected fluid 140 is supplied from a fluid storage unit the small fluid chamber 120 through a fluid supplement hole 152 made in the substrate 150. The stationary face plate 130 has a nozzle hole 132 for ejecting a fluid jet or a droplet. The piston constitution 110 is moved toward the stationary face plate 130 by electrostatic attraction between the piston constitution 110 and the stationary face plate 130, and a part of fluid between the piston constitution 110 and the stationary face plate 130 is pushed out from the nozzle hole 132 to form a jet or a droplet.
